The Women’s Head Coach for Team USATF at the 2023 World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Evans has coached distance runners for 25 years, and currently works with women and men from youth to veteran age groups. The club director of Peninsula Distance Club and co-founder of the Bay Area Running Camp for youth and adults (2011-2015; 2023- present), Evans has served as the Women’s Track & Field Chair for the Pacific Association, the USATF Cross Country Council, and for the past three years, on the USATF Women’s LDR Committee. She has served USATF athletes on 10 international team staffs over the past 20 years, including at the World Cross Country Championships, World Relay Championships, World Indoor Championships, and the past three World Athletics Outdoor Championship staffs (serving both men’s and women’s teams). Evans holds both undergraduate and master’s degrees from Stanford University, where she competed for their first College Cup (NCAA Final Four) women’s soccer team and was a 3-time All-American in track & field. She remains an active USATF LDR participant and has completed 17 marathons.
